Music in a safe and friendly environment

The well being of our students is as important to us as the quality of the music they learn. Practice, Patience and Performance are at the heart of our teaching.

Our KDF academy music students will learn the modern methods for reading and playing music and be made aware of their vast heritage as African musicians, blending the past and the future together.

Agriculture for the Kachomo community

We are very conscience of the declining soil fertility in Kachomo. Our young agriculturists will learn how to make the fields produce prosperous, live saving crops.

Our aim for our young student farmers is to increase production and productivity of agricultural commodities and enterprise in Kachomo by improved technology and skills.

Design & Technology for the home & export

To learn the skills to produce textiles for high quality garments for sale to cities and for export, and clothing for smaller towns and villages is a priority.

Maximising textile production for the local community and surplus distribution to surrounding areas and possible export is at the heart of the academy programme and structure.

Sports academy:
Sport and fitness

Our sports academy provides well-structured contact and non-contact sports and physical activities to encourage strong minds and bodies.

A healthy community needs healthy, fit young people who know how to work as a team and be strong individuals within the team. Our academy gives strength and purpose to each athlete.

Welcome to the KDF International School.

Here you can read our philosophy for uniting the education of our KDF students with the needs of local communities.

We aim to offer the young people of Kachomo a reason to stay and develop the land and life of their home environment.

International students will share in the experience and return to their homeland able to use their knowledge for the good of all.

Our associates work with us to raise the threshold of our KDF education system here in Uganda and worldwide.

Farmers and residents living locally will benefit from KDF micro academies placed in villages to improve the welfare and economy of the people.

Textile design and technology is essential for local and international trade as well as providing clothes and tools for the villages.

KDF micro academies put our design students at the heart of the community to explain innovative methods in production of clothing and technology.

The History of African Music taught through storytelling, drama and art will integrate traditional music with modern music, theory, and performance.

The KDF Sports Academy will encourage healthy living through its sports teams and dedicated medical teaching center.

Key Goals

  1. The Kasibo Family

KDF in conjunction with the Ugandan government, Kasibo family and both national and international partners, intends to become a beacon of change within the region, through piloting innovative ideas and programmes with the aim of empowering local youth at all levels, and creating an inclusive community centre.

  2. Planning for the future

The implementation of Further Educational Institutes in ‘Vocational Studies’, include ‘Music’, ‘Agriculture’, 'Textiles' and ‘Sport’ that will work alongside other national and international universities and colleges, are a long term goal for KDF to help it become a beacon of success for the region.

  3. Building partnerships

KDF working in partnership with Global Outreach Foundation MK, Kasibo family and interested global parties aim to address these issues through providing the above community services aimed at enabling young people to explore their skills and fulfill their dreams. If you as an individual or a company would like more information concerning sponsorship of KDF Academy please follow this link.

  4. KDF Micro-Academies

One of the most exciting KDF projects planned for 2021 is creating KDF Micro-Academies in Kachomo. With permission from the Kachomo village leaders students from our academy will create KDF Micro-agriculture-academies and Micro-textile-academies to demonstrate their new skills and technologies. This will be of great benefit to the students and the local communities. Modern textile and agricultural developments are essential in today's world. We will donate each micro-academy to the villagers as our students travel through Kachomo returning with new information as time passes.
